Cambridge Technical Communicators was founded by Roger Kirkham and Warren Singer in 2006. Between them they have over 40 years' experience of commercial writing for a large number of companies and organisations, including blue-chips such as General Electric, The Economist Group and The Royal Bank of Scotland Group.
Roger Kirkham
Roger has over twenty years' experience as a technical writer. He has worked extensively on both a project and full-time basis, for blue-chip companies such as Crystal Decisions and General Electric and various smaller software houses. Roger spent over six years working for DataWatch Corporation in Britain and the USA, where he was responsible for recruiting and managing a team of technical writers and other supporting staff. He has also a number of years experience in France, managing a technical writing and product localisation business in Paris.
Roger is a dedicated and responsible writer. He cares deeply about social issues and has been involved in various organisations, such as Amnesty International, that promote social justice and equality. His hobbies include history and travel.
Warren Singer
Warren was born and educated in South Africa, where he completed a BA in English Literature and Psychology and an Honours degree in Psychology. He obtained a Master's degree in Linguistics from the University of Tel Aviv. He has written extensively in both permanent and contract roles over the last fifteen years, for companies such as 3COM, WorldPay, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, VocalTec and Mobixell Communications. Warren also has experience running a small technical writing consulting business, which he did successfully for a number of years in Israel.
Warren is a creative and conscientious writer. He has a special interest in marketing communications and information architecture. His hobbies include tennis, swimming and creative writing.
